Personalized Care is the Difference:

Pain and disability can be caused by any number of things: degenerative conditions, work- or sports- related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, disc bulges and herniations in the back or problems of the musculoskeletal system.  With this wide range of causes, there is no single measure that will give patients relief.  Each case needs to be diagnosed and treated separately, especially when the pain results from compound conditions.

Typically, only 1% or 2% of patients with low back pain require surgery.  Action PM&R knows it's often better to treat the condition causing your pain without surgery.  We even treat pain that results form surgery or that was not completely resolved by a surgical procedure.  We know millions of Americans suffer from persistent pain, and out goal is to help them resolve it once and for all through non-surgical methods.

At Action PM&R our patients are treated one at a time.  Each patient who comes to our facilities is diagnosed and case-directed by a physician who is also a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist.  As medical doctors with specialized training in musculoskeletal injuries, pain syndromes, and EMG/nerve conduction studies, our physiatrists are uniquely qualified to address the wide-ranging conditions that cause physical pain.  We will work closely with you and, where appropriate, your case worker to facilitate your recovery.  Treatment plans are also designed on an individual basis to correct the cause of the pain without surgery.  And we always give you great tips on staying pain-free and avoiding injury.
